Galvanised steel wire ropes with 114+1 strand construction (equivalent to 6x19 with fibre core), among the most common types for general use. The 6x19 construction offers a good compromise between flexibility and wear resistance. The fibre core provides greater elasticity and flexibility than ropes with a steel core.
